Job Summary
Manage and execute project management duties to ensure timely delivery of milestones, coordinate cross-functional teams, and provide technical support for engineering projects involving generators and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute project management plans to meet all key milestones within scheduled timelines
- Generate and maintain the master project schedule to monitor execution progress and milestones
- Liaise and coordinate with internal teams and external parties to implement project activities effectively
- Monitor functional responsibilities to ensure project milestones remain on track
- Lead Factory Acceptance Tests with customers and distributors to validate project deliverables
- Ensure all project documentation is agreed upon and endorsed for delivery
- Schedule and coordinate on-site testing to facilitate smooth transition to the aftermarket team
- Provide first-level technical support during project execution to resolve issues promptly
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project feasibility studies and assist Industrial Solution teams in generating project cost estimates related to project management activities
- Submit monthly project status reports highlighting key issues or concerns related to project delivery and milestones
- Provide engineering support for third-party product and drawing submittals
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project processes
- Coordinate with interplant associates on deliveries, factory tests, and project documentation
- Work closely with schedulers, customer service, and production teams to update project status in weekly meetings
- Attend weekly site meetings with main contractors and consultants as required
- Manage site installation work to ensure completion within stipulated timelines
- Coordinate and collaborate with subcontractors on site installations, drawings, and material submittals
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
- Ability to read and interpret Mechanical and Electrical drawings
- Familiarity with generators, controls, and associated equipment and accessories is an advantage
- Knowledge of generator standards and codes is an advantage
