Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Process Integration to support and drive semiconductor and photonic wafer fabrication activities with foundry partners and internal engineering teams. The role will focus on process integration, wafer fabrication monitoring, defect and yield analysis, process improvement and manufacturing readiness. The successful candidate will have strong semiconductor process expertise, hands-on analytical skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with semiconductor foundry partners on wafer fabrication activities, process integration, manufacturing schedules, technical issues and process readiness to ensure timely execution and resolution of process-related issues.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor wafer fabrication process flows across multiple process modules, including lithography, etching, deposition, CMP and related wafer-processing steps.
  • Monitor wafer fabrication activities and process performance against process specifications, design requirements and manufacturing objectives identify process excursions, integration risks and potential yield or performance issues.
  • Conduct wafer inspection, defect analysis, characterization and yield improvement activities using optical microscopy, SEM and relevant metrology or analytical techniques perform root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
  • Support validation and monitoring of photonic and electrical performance for optical interposer structures and related components, working with design, process, test, packaging and manufacturing teams to resolve process and integration issues.
  • Support process qualification, process monitoring and manufacturing readiness activities, including data analysis, process capability assessment, engineering changes and process documentation.
  • Drive cross-functional process improvement activities to enhance process robustness, product performance, manufacturing yield, scalability and overall manufacturing readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related engineering discipline, with relevant experience in semiconductor, photonics, microfabrication, or wafer-processing technologies.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process integration, wafer fabrication, process engineering, or related technology development.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor wafer fabrication and process integration including lithography, etching, deposition, CMP, wafer processing, process control, defect mechanisms and integration challenges.
  • Hands-on experience in wafer inspection, characterization, defect analysis and metrology, including optical microscopy, SEM and relevant analytical techniques, with demonstrated experience in root-cause analysis and yield improvement.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work with foundry partners and internal engineering teams, manage multiple priorities and drive technical issues through to resolution.
