Lead and perform Naval Architecture engineering for FPSO Hull across Concept, Pre‑FEED, FEED, Execution, and Operation stages
Ensure all naval architecture decisions support safety, operability, maintainability, and compliance with regulations
Develop hull design basis, naval architecture design philosophy and standards
Provide guidance, management, oversight, and technical support to shipyards and engineering companies
Develop and review key naval architecture deliverables, including stability analysis, motion analysis, green water assessments, mooring & riser interface evaluations, and global performance studies
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
Support CAPEX estimation, construction schedule development, and project risk assessments
Make balanced technical decisions considering quality, cost, schedule, constructability and interface with topside, turret, mooring and riser
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or relevant engineering discipline
Minimum 15 years of experience in Naval Architecture for FPSOs, offshore structures, or shipbuilding
Strong experience in basic design, stability, hydrodynamics, weight estimation, hull global performance
Experience working with both shipyard and FPSO contractor environments preferred
Strong preference for experience in bid & proposal, Pre‑FEED, FEED, and CAPEX estimation
Strong preference for experience in both New-building and Conversion projects
Skills:
Strong communication and coordination skills across multidiscipline teams
Effective stakeholder management across Clients, shipyards, internal teams and suppliers
Ability to work independently while supporting and collaborating with broader project teams
Solid understanding of FPSO design principles and industry practices, Class rules and international standards (ABS, DNV, IMO, etc.)
Understanding of hydrodynamics, stability regulations, vessel operation, and marine risk principles
Familiarity with construction methods, commissioning, and offshore integration
Proficiency in naval architectural software for stability, hydrodynamic analysis, mooring analysis, and global performance, such as DNV Sesam, GeniE, HydroD, OrcaFlex, MOSES, ABS Eagle FPSO
