Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Lead and perform Marine Systems engineering for FPSO Hull across Concept, Pre‑FEED, FEED, Execution, and Operation stages
- Ensure all marine system design decisions support safety, operability, maintainability, and compliance with regulations
- Develop marine system design basis, design philosophy, and standards
- Provide guidance, management, oversight, and technical support to shipyards, engineering companies, and marine equipment suppliers
- Support the engineering schedule development and project risk assessment
- Develop and review key marine system deliverables
- Perform marine process and package engineering activities, and support piping and layout as required to ensure system integrity and constructability
- Make balanced technical decisions considering quality, cost, schedule, and constructability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum 15 years of experience in marine system engineering for FPSOs, offshore structures, or shipbuilding
- Strong experience in marine system design including PFD, P&ID, equipment selection, material selection, HAZOP, performance standards, safety studies
- Experience working with both shipyard and FPSO contractor environments preferred
- Strong preference for experience in bid & proposal, Pre‑FEED, FEED, and CAPEX estimation
- Strong preference for experience in both New-building and Conversion projects.
Skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills across multidiscipline teams
- Effective stakeholder management across Clients, shipyards, internal teams and suppliers
- Ability to work independently while supporting and collaborating with broader project teams
- Solid understanding of FPSO design principles and industry practices, Class rules and international standards (DNV, ABS, IMO, NFPA, etc.)
- Knowledge of marine & utility system, equipment selection, safety/functionality in FPSO
- Familiarity with hull construction methods, commissioning, and offshore integration
