Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff.

  • Allocate resources, manage workloads, and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs.

  • Conduct performance reviews and support staff development plans.

2. Project & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee engineering design, technical submissions, and method statements.

  • Ensure engineering solutions meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Review and approve drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.

  • Troubleshoot complex engineering issues and provide expert guidance.

3. Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients.

  • Coordinate design changes, technical clarifications, and site queries.

  • Ensure smooth communication between design, planning, and site teams.

4. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure engineering works comply with local codes, standards, and statutory requirements.

  • Implement quality assurance processes and conduct technical audits.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure risk assessments are carried out.

5. Planning & Execution

  • Support project planning, scheduling, and resource forecasting.

  • Monitor engineering progress and resolve bottlenecks.

  • Participate in tender evaluations, cost reviews, and procurement of technical materials.

6. Stakeholder Management

  • Present engineering proposals and progress updates to clients and senior management.

  • Manage expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 8-12 years of engineering experience, including 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

  • Proven experience in large‑scale infrastructure, construction, or industrial projects.

  • Strong background in design coordination, technical reviews, and site execution.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

  • Proficient in engineering software and project management tools.

  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
