Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Firmware Engineer Optical Modules to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of firmware for advanced optical communication modules. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and systems engineering to deliver high-performance and reliable products.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for optical module products.
- Collaborate with software teams on GUI software requirements and ensure smooth integration with optical components.
- Develop and implement control algorithms for optical components.
- Optimize firmware for performance, power efficiency, and reliability.
- Debug, test, and validate firmware issues throughout development.
- Support manufacturing and testing teams with firmware-related issues and improvements.
- Document firmware design, architecture, and test procedures, and participate in code reviews.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience in optical transceivers or high-speed communication systems.
- Knowledge of DSP applications, optical module management interfaces (CMIS, SFF-8636), and optical module circuit fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting and failure-analysis skills, with the ability to produce standardized documentation and FA reports.
