About Our Group
RMO Sputter Equipment Engineering team – Be responsible to engineer solutions in the field of mechanical, electrical/electronics, PLC, software & controls, and advanced analytic system, and provide technical & engineering support to enhance ultra-high vacuum (UHV) sputter machines with upgrades to improve OEE, unscheduled/scheduled downtime, operations, process capabilities, indirect material (IDM)/hardware/consumables cost reduction, productivity, new product conversion requirements & readiness, media performance and defects reduction.
About The Role - You Will
- Lead and drive sputter equipment upgrades to support new product requirements and next‑generation technologies.
- Ensure hardware readiness and qualification, working closely with equipment development teams and suppliers on design improvements.
- Partner with product launch teams to enable successful New Product Introduction (NPI) into production.
- Safeguard equipment performance (OEE) during product ramp, ensuring stability for high‑sensitivity products.
- Proactively identify and resolve design, integration, and preventive maintenance (PM) optimization issues early in the development cycle.
- Drive equipment stability and process optimization to improve reliability and performance.
- Validate process capability and manufacturability to ensure readiness prior to production ramp.
- Minimize production disruption by driving strong cross‑functional collaboration across R&D, Process, Equipment, and Operations teams.

Your Experience Includes
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with sputter equipment and vacuum technology.
- Experience in equipment upgrades, hardware evaluation, and qualification.
- Exposure to manufacturing ramp and high‑volume production environments.
- Experience managing or supporting equipment upgrade or installation projects.

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations.
