Job Description

What The Role Is

The HDB Smart Hub is at the heart of our digital transformation journey, bringing together data from sensors and IoT devices across our public housing estates to support the creation of highly liveable towns for residents, environmental sustainability, and infrastructural resilience. As part of the Smart Hub team, you will play a key role in ensuring the platform delivers reliable, high-quality data and actionable insights that drive management and operational decision-making.

What You Will Be Working On

Your responsibilities may include:

1. Strategic Planning: Contributing to the setting and delivery of the overall vision and direction of HDB Smart Hub, with a focus on enhancing the data analytics capabilities of the platform.

2. Platform Operations: Supporting the operations and enhancement of HDB Smart Hub (such as platform upgrades, and sensor deployment and onboarding) to ensure reliable monitoring and timely reporting of key operational metrics.

3. Data Quality Assurance, and Data Science Project Enablement: Driving continuous efforts to improve data quality and investigating any data quality issues; and providing analytics advisory support to studies using Smart Hub datasets.

4. Data Analytics and Management Decision Support: Developing and enhancing analytics dashboard for operational oversight and performance monitoring; and conducting advanced analyses for complex management and operational questions to provide actionable insights and recommendations.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Possess a relevant background in Engineering or Data Science/Analytics or relevant field
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience working on IoT, data science/analytics or related projects
  • Strong technical skills in data visualisation and analytics, with experience in tools such SAS VA, Tableau and Python, as well as analytical techniques such as regression analysis, spatial analysis, and machine learning.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, to be able to engage stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions effectively, and present findings clearly and confidently to support decision-making
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive in keeping abreast of and experimenting with new digital solutions to enhance project outcomes
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, at time with evolving and/or ambiguous requirements

The selected candidate will be offered a 1+1 year contract.
