[What the role is]
You will be part of a project team working closely with the appointed consultant and stakeholders on the development of the Integrated Waste Management Facility Phase 2 (IP2) – a large-scale waste management infrastructural project.
[What you will be working on]
Your Main Responsibilities Are As Follows
- Review and evaluate technical design submissions for mechanical equipment and process systems such as waste handling cranes, incinerators, boilers, steam turbine-generators, flue gas treatments, and ash handling.
- Work closely with the consultant, relevant agencies, and authorities to oversee the construction and commissioning of IWMF Phase 2 project
- Prepare tender documents, call and evaluate tender proposals.
- Verify progress claims from contractors.
- Lead a technical team to ensure safe and efficient operation of facilities when IWMF Phase 2 is in operational stage
[What we are looking for]
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in waste-to-energy facilities preferred.
- Candidates with at least 3 years of experience in mechanical or process design working in other relevant fields and/or projects (i.e., Waste, Water, Oil & Gas, Power) will also be considered.
- Responsible, committed, resourceful, and a good team player
- Good interpersonal communication, presentation and writing skills
- Able to perform shift work, including weekends and public holidays, if required, when IWMF Phase 2 is in the commissioning and operational stage
