Job Description

Brief Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Senior NC Programmer, where you'll play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing CNC programs for precision machining. This position is ideal for those looking to make a significant impact in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, and enhance CNC programs for various machining operations, including milling, turning, and multi-axis processes. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately determine machining requirements. Set up CNC machines and provide support to operators during initial production runs. Utilize CAM software such as Mastercam, Siemens NX, or SolidCAM to create toolpaths and machining programs. Identify and troubleshoot machining issues, program errors, and tooling challenges to minimize downtime. Optimize machining processes to enhance cycle time, tool lifespan, and overall productivity. Collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure parts consistently meet specifications. Maintain accurate documentation for CNC programs, tooling, and setup procedures. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CAM programming and CAD/CAM integration. Experience with multi-axis machining, tooling selection, and fixture design. Strong understanding of GD&T and machining tolerances. Willingness to travel for test cuts at overseas subsidiaries may be required.
