About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a Release & Environment Management (REM) team supporting deployment operations and CI/CD platform engineering for a leading financial technology environment. You will ensure the stability of non-production environments,drive automation, and collaborate with infrastructure and development teams on cloud application initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) for seamless integration, testing and deployment across DEV, INT, SIM and UAT environments
- Investigate and resolve deployment failures, pipeline issues and environment outages through structured root cause analysis (RCA)
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash/Shell) to improve deployment and operational processes
- Support and improve deployment orchestration for automated application deployments
- Collaborate with Digital Infrastructure teams on cloud application migration initiatives (Azure, AWS or equivalent)
- Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment governance, monitoring and automation capabilities
- Manage Git branching strategies, Gitflow, and version control best practices
- Support Kubernetes-based deployments and container platform operations
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in CI/CD, Release & Environment Management or DevOps
- Hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps or equivalent
- Strong scripting skills: Python, Bash/Unix Shell
- Experience with infrastructure platforms: Azure, AWS or similar cloud/virtualisation environments
- Experience deploying applications across multiple environments and managing environment stability
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and container technologies
- Solid experience with Git, version control and branching strategies
- Strong troubleshooting skills across pipelines, Linux/Unix environments and application workflows
- Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus or equivalent)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with MySQL and Jira/Agile tooling
- Experience in core banking or financial services environments
