What You Will Be Working On
As a member of the Airport Planning, Design & Engineering team within CAAS Airport Development & Planning (ADP) Division, you will be involved in the oversight of the planning of infrastructure in Changi and Seletar Airports. To this end, you will:
- Support senior officers and work closely with the airport operator and key stakeholders in the aviation community, government agencies, and/or consultants to review airport land use planning and related proposals, as well as ensure proper project planning, management and timely completion of airport infrastructure design development studies.
- Contribute towards the review of the planning of building services related to mechanical and electrical spaces such as plantrooms within the passenger terminal building, as well as site-wide utilities and services routing through the rest of Changi Airport including cooling, electrical, water, sewerage, gas, jet fuel and others.
- Contribute towards the review of the planning of airport specialised systems, i.e. automated people mover and baggage handling systems, including operational spaces and system components.
You may also be required to carry out procurement/management of consultancy services to support CAAS in planning/design review(s).
What We Are Looking For
- Trained in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- At least 6 years of relevant working experience in planning of infrastructure/building services
- Self-motivated, driven, resourceful, a good team player and ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong conceptual and analytical thinking skills
- Prior airport/airfield related experience will be an advantage
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or GIS will be an advantage
Note: Your appointment designation will be commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
