I am currently working with a well known biotechnology research company. Office located in Woodlands but there's shuttle bus provided from Woodlands, Admiralty, Sengkang, Punggol, CCK and Boon Lay mrt to office. Office back home, only shuttle bus to woodlands and admiralty.

Hybrid working arrangement. Working hours 8am to 5pm. Can end work at 5pm and have more personal time.

. Lead the creation of sophisticated embedded firmware for advanced diagnostic instruments involving complex motion systems and optical sensors

. Manage the development process from initial conceptual design through to manufacturing release and integration

. Partner with global hardware and software engineering teams to debug and optimize embedded systems

. Minimal travelling to US required.

skills and requirements

. Min 5 years of experience in firmware development, specifically with hardware integration for biotech or medical applications.

. Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with C#/.NET or scripting languages like Python

. Deep understanding of RTOS environments (such as ThreadX, FreeRTOS, or VxWorks) and ARM processor architectures

. Proven ability to read electrical schematics and work with components like ADC/DAC, I2C, SPI, CAN, and Ethernet

. Experience with Git, GNU toolchains (gcc, gnumake), and debugging hardware such as J-LINK or Lauterbach.
