Senior Electrical / PCBA Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical / PCBA Engineer to design and develop electronic hardware from system requirements through to PCBA board level. The role involves hands-on hardware design, board bring-up, verification, and close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electronic architecture and detailed hardware designs from system requirements to PCBA board level

• Design and develop microcontroller / microprocessor-based PCBAs, including schematic capture, component selection, and layout collaboration

• Perform board bring-up, prototype validation, and verification testing

• Support manufacturing NPI, debugging, and production readiness activities

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, firmware, systems, and manufacturing engineers

• Lead and participate in EE design reviews

• Create and maintain engineering documentation, test protocols, and compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements

• Identify and resolve EMI / EMC / ESD-related issues through hands-on troubleshooting and design improvements

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Proficient in OrCAD and other PCB CAD design tools

• Strong experience in microcontroller-based hardware design

• Hands-on experience using hardware test and debug tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers

• Proven experience resolving EMI, EMC, and ESD issues in hardware designs

• Solid understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturability (DFM)

Good-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with life science or medical device safety standards, such as IEC 61010

• Knowledge of risk management processes in regulated environments

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams

• Clear communication skills for technical documentation and design reviews
