Lead and manage electrical engineering projects by preparing detailed design reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules. Collaborate with clients, architects, QS, and consultants to ensure project success while managing authority submissions and approvals. Supervise project teams and implement quality assurance and control to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive design reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules to meet client and regulatory requirements
- Manage the preparation, submission, and follow-up of authority approvals to ensure timely project progression
- Liaise effectively with clients, architects, quantity surveyors, and other project consultants to coordinate project activities and resolve issues
- Supervise and guide project team members to achieve technical and project milestones
- Lead projects as the project manager, overseeing all phases from planning to completion
- Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control processes to uphold engineering standards
- Adapt to additional duties as assigned to support project and organizational goals
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
- Eligibility for registration with the Professional Engineers Board
- Minimum of 6 years experience in electrical engineering design consulting practice
- Proficient in relevant design software and project technical knowledge
- Familiarity with local codes and authority submission procedures
- Strong project management and technical skills to deliver projects efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to collaborate across teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively under pressure
- Analytical skills to assess and solve engineering challenges
- Professional Engineer Certification will be an advantage
