Job Description & Responsibilities
The Senior Technical Designer plays a key role in supporting the technical team and ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of technical design outputs across all projects.
The role involves developing approved design concepts into detailed technical drawings, working closely with CAD designers, the internal design team, and external consultants to ensure compliance with client requirements and local regulations.
What you'll be doing
1. Technical Drafting & Documentation
- Prepare and review detailed design drawings and technical documentation using CAD software
- Ensure all drawings comply with internal standards, project specifications, and local building codes and regulations
- Maintain and improve technical templates and documentation standards across projects
2. Project Coordination
- Collaborate with the design team to translate conceptual designs into accurate technical drawings
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues
- Support site coordination and provide technical clarifications to ensure design intent is achieved
3. Technical Expertise (Residential & Hospitality)
- Apply strong expertise in high-end residential and hospitality detailing
- Resolve complex technical and construction detailing challenges while maintaining design integrity
- Propose practical, buildable, and cost-efficient technical solutions
4. Quality Assurance
- Review technical drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Support continuous improvement of drafting workflows and technical processes
What we're looking For:
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in technical design/ drafting
- Strong knowledge of construction detailing and materials
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and/or Revit
- Good understanding of local building codes and regulations
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
