Job Description

Job Title: Senior Document Verification Officer
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in document verification, data entry, administrative operations, customer service, or similar roles .
Location: Havelock
Working Hours: 44 hours in week

Job Summary

We are looking for meticulous and detail-oriented Document Verification Officers to support document verification services for work pass and related applications. The role involves reviewing documents, validating information, updating records, following up with applicants, and ensuring all verification activities are completed accurately and within the required timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review submitted documents to ensure they are clear, complete and appear authentic.
  • Verify information provided in application forms against supporting documents and relevant systems or portals.
  • Identify discrepancies, anomalies, missing or incorrect information and annotate documents where required.
  • Update applicant and application records accurately in relevant systems and files, including Excel.
  • Contact applicants by phone to follow up on missing, unclear or incorrect documents.
  • Interview applicants where forged or fabricated documents are suspected.
  • Escalate complex or exceptional cases to the relevant Authority officers in accordance with established SOPs.
  • Process applications accurately and within stipulated service timelines and KPIs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure secure handling of sensitive documents and information.
  • Follow all applicable security policies, procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Participate in training and keep updated on changes to systems, processes and verification procedures.
  • Support audits, reporting and other operational activities as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum NITEC or equivalent preferred.
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Good computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with a meticulous approach to document checking.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to identify inconsistencies and discrepancies accurately.
  • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Good time management and ability to meet deadlines and operational KPIs.
  • Willingness to undergo required training and security clearance.
