Job Description
A well-established Singapore law firm is looking to hire a senior corporate commercial lawyer to join its team. This is a strong opportunity for a Singapore-qualified lawyer with at least 8 years PQE who enjoys broad-based advisory and transactional work, and is looking for a stable platform with quality clients, solid infrastructure, and room to grow over time.
This role would suit someone with a good mix of general corporate, commercial contracts, and advisory experience, who wants to be part of a credible platform where they can focus on strong legal work. A following is not required for this hire, although there is room for those who may wish to build client relationships over time. The team is open to considering candidates above 8 PQE with no fixed upper limit on seniority.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on a broad range of general corporate and commercial matters
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements
Support clients on corporate transactions, business structuring, and day-to-day advisory work
Handle matters relating to shareholder arrangements, joint ventures, corporate governance, and related documentation
Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice across a range of industries
Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to manage transactions and ongoing legal support efficiently
Support and mentor junior lawyers where appropriate
Requirements
Singapore-qualified lawyer
At least 8 years PQE, with a strong background in general corporate and commercial work
Broad experience covering corporate advisory, commercial contracts, and transactional matters
Strong drafting skills and the ability to give practical, commercially minded advice
Comfortable managing matters with a good degree of independence
Confident in a client-facing role and able to build trusted relationships
Prior experience mentoring juniors or taking on team leadership responsibilities would be useful
