Role Overview
The Senior Director, International Compensation, Performance & HR Shared Services is responsible for establishing and leading the global governance framework for compensation, performance management, and HR shared services across all regions outside of Mainland China.
This role will oversee HR operations and reward governance for manufacturing, R&D, marketing, and management hub entities across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, supporting a workforce of approximately 20,000 employees with rapid expansion anticipated over the next five years.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Compensation & Performance Governance
- Design and implement a global compensation and performance governance framework aligned with business growth, profitability, and talent strategy.
- Standardize reward principles, job architecture alignment, performance cycles, and incentive mechanisms while respecting local market and regulatory differences.
- Oversee annual salary review, bonus, and incentive governance across all overseas entities.
- Support executive compensation analysis, cost modeling, and reward scenario planning.
HR Shared Services Leadership
- Establish and lead a global HR Shared Services operating model, defining clear scope, ownership, and service delivery standards.
- Oversee payroll, benefits administration, employee data management, and HR operations across multiple countries and vendors.
- Ensure data accuracy, audit readiness, and compliance across all HR operational processes.
- Develop service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives for HR SSC.
Strategic HR Enablement & Stakeholder Partnership
- Act as a strategic partner to the CHRO, CFO, and senior leadership by providing insights on workforce cost, incentive effectiveness, and organizational scalability.
- Support large-scale workforce transfers, integrations, and growth initiatives (especially in India and newly expanded regions).
- Strengthen HR governance capability across country HR teams, transitioning from reactive support to proactive, risk-aware HR management.
Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to global compensation, performance management, and HR operations.
- Proven experience managing multi-country HR governance across manufacturing, R&D, and commercial organizations.
- Prior experience with M&A integration, especially in multinational or legacy Western enterprises, is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of global payroll, benefits, and HR compliance frameworks.
- Experience working in or with Shared Services Centers and complex vendor ecosystems.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels in a fast-growing, transformation-driven environment.
