About the Role
The Senior Director, Community & Engagement plays a key leadership role at Asia Philanthropy Circle (APC), responsible for:
- Strengthening and growing APC's membership network
- Leading member engagement and programme development
- Catalysing collaborations across the philanthropy ecosystem
- Enhancing internal systems and operations for community support
- Supporting APC's strategic direction alongside the CEO and Board
Key Responsibilities
Membership Growth & Strategy
- Develop and implement strategies for member acquisition, retention, and growth
- Identify and engage prospects through APC's leadership, country reps, and networks
- Track philanthropy trends to ensure relevance to evolving member needs
Membership Engagement & Programmes
- Design and oversee member engagement initiatives that encourage learning and collaboration
- Ensure a seamless and valuable member journey across all touchpoints
- Pilot new member-to-member exchange formats
- Monitor and improve engagement strategies based on feedback and data
Systems & Operations
- Enhance CRM systems and internal processes for tracking and service quality
- Train staff to ensure high standards in member engagement
- Conduct periodic reviews of membership offerings to ensure ongoing value
Events & Outreach
- Lead planning and execution of APC's flagship events and convenings
- Oversee marketing and communications related to member outreach
- Build strategic partnerships to expand reach and strengthen engagement
Organisational Leadership
- Collaborate with the CEO on strategy development and execution
- Contribute to resource planning, budgeting, and team coordination
- Support internal alignment across functions and initiatives
Candidate Requirements
Experience
- 10-15 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles
- Minimum 2 years in the social impact, philanthropy, or nonprofit sector in Asia
- Strong background in philanthropy, especially foundations, advisories, or intermediaries
- Proven track record in membership growth, engagement, and programme development
- Experience with CRM and digital engagement tools
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and UHNW individuals
