The client of ours is a Global Conglomerate within the Technology Service Industry with presence across America, Europe and Asia Pacific. They are currently expanding their footprint in APAC and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director (Commercial) to be based here in Singapore.
The Senior Director is responsible for leading the strategic direction, operational performance, and financial results of a designated sales region, market segment, or sales channel. This role drives revenue growth and profitability through effective leadership, strategic planning, and the development of high-performing sales teams. The position oversees regional or national sales operations and ensures alignment between sales strategy, customer engagement, and business objectives. The Senior Director works closely with executive leadership to implement growth initiatives and optimize market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with business unit objectives and market opportunities.
- Identify and prioritize strategic opportunities and ensure appropriate resources are allocated to support business growth.
- Establish and manage sales plans that drive customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and achievement of sales targets.
- Lead the implementation of sales strategies while monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and economic indicators.
- Define and communicate sales objectives, including forecasting sales volume and profit expectations across existing and new product lines.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key partners, suppliers, and customers at national, regional, and local levels.
- Ensure effective coordination of sales operations including quotations, proposals, order management, and customer issue resolution.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor sales professionals to maintain a high-performing and motivated sales organization.
- Evaluate team performance through coaching, performance reviews, and ongoing development initiatives.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices through professional development and industry engagement.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and strategic insights to senior leadership.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in professional sales within a related industry.
- Minimum 7 years of experience leading and managing sales teams or programs at regional, national, or district levels.
- Strong knowledge of business management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, and team leadership.
- Proven ability to analyze market data and implement effective sales strategies that achieve revenue goals.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and motivate diverse teams.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and computer skills.
- Extensive leadership experience managing large regional or national sales teams.
- Travel may be required for approximately 25%50% of the time to support customer engagement and regional sales activities.
