Role Summary:
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage our client's critical systems in private data centres. You will own the full lifecycle from architecture and automation to day-2 operations, ensuring system stability and performance. This role requires deep expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC, and virtualisation in security-constrained environments, along with strong fundamentals in networking, observability, and security.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Docker and Kubernetes in restricted environments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD) and Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform).
- Administer virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
- Ensure high availability and stability of on-prem systems.
- Optimise networking and traffic management (NGINX/HAProxy, DNS, SSL/TLS, VLANs).
- Enhance observability (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK) and security (Vault, Kafka, databases).
- Work in regulated or defence environments, adhering to security and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational maturity.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- Min 5 years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer with solid exposure with on-prem environment.
- Hands-on experience in private data center is a huge plus.
- Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC, and virtualisation.
- Strong knowledge of networking, observability, and security tools.
- Experience in regulated or defense environments is a plus.
