Job Description

Role Summary

The Senior Developer (ServiceNow) will be responsible for end-to-end technical ownership of ServiceNow implementations, ensuring solution quality, scalability, performance, and adherence to ServiceNow best practices. The role involves leading technical design, development, integrations, automation, and deployment activities while guiding development teams and supporting enterprise-level implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical design and development of ServiceNow solutions using App Engine and Customer Service Management (CSM) modules.
  • Own solution architecture, coding standards, configuration standards, and development best practices.
  • Review and approve technical designs, scripts, integrations, workflows, and data models.
  • Guide developers and integration teams during development, testing, and defect resolution phases.
  • Ensure optimal use of out-of-the-box (OOTB) ServiceNow capabilities with minimal customization.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow applications including forms, lists, UI Policies, UI Actions, workflows, and portals.
  • Develop and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and Flow Designer automations.
  • Support Service Portal configuration, widgets, and portal customizations.
  • Design and support integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, MID Server, and web services.
  • Support data migration activities including validation, reconciliation, and post-migration fixes.
  • Coordinate SIT/UAT defect resolution, release planning, cutover, and go-live activities.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security controls, performance optimization, and documentation practices.
  • Participate in technical discussions, effort estimation, and feasibility analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow Development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical leadership or lead developer roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow App Engine and CSM implementations.
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, and Flow Designer.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and MID Server configurations.
  • Good understanding of ServiceNow security, ACLs, roles, deployments, and environment management.
  • Experience with update sets, release management, and deployment processes.
  • Exposure to ATF (Automated Test Framework) or AutomatePro is an advantage.
  • Experience working in government or regulated environments is a plus.
  • Resource must be based in and work from Noida ODC (BCA-approved location).

Required Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Customer Service Management (CSM)
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
