Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Desktop Engineer to support daily IT operations, provide end-user support, and maintain IT infrastructure systems. The role involves troubleshooting, asset lifecycle management, and ensuring stable IT services across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1/2 end-user support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Perform PC setup, formatting, configuration, and data migration
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues (LAN/WAN/WLAN/VPN)
- Support and maintain IT infrastructure systems, including servers, clients, and communication tools
- Monitor server health (hardware, software, disk) and perform system updates/patching
- Manage Active Directory (user accounts, password resets, access control)
- Handle IT asset lifecycle management (procurement, deployment, tracking, disposal, licensing)
- Support IT security operations, including antivirus updates, malware monitoring, and data protection (e.g., disk wiping)
- Provide conference/meeting room IT support (AV, VC systems)
- Assist in network troubleshooting (e.g., cabling, switches)
- Act as a local point of contact for IT-related issues and coordinate with vendors where required
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and procedures
- Support IT operational activities such as system shutdown and recovery
Requirements
- Diploma in IT or related field
- Experience in desktop support / IT infrastructure support
- Familiar with Windows OS, Active Directory, and basic networking
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to support end-users
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (to liaise with Chinese-speaking users where required)
