Senior Design Manager, Mechanical/Electrical (Data Center)

The Role

Reporting to the Associate Director, Design, you will lead large-scale data centre design projects from concept through detailed design, supporting delivery across the full project lifecycle. You will drive innovation, efficiency, and sustainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead concept, schematic, and detailed design for hyperscale data centres
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with technical, cost, schedule, and quality requirements
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the design team

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years experience in engineering/design, ideally in large-scale infrastructure or data centres
• Strong knowledge of data centre systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, cooling systems, fire protection, structured cabling)
• Proven experience managing complex design projects and stakeholders
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
