Responsibilities
- You will oversee design management for major civil infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence, constructability, and compliance with local standards.
- Ensure design outputs comply with regulations, safety standards, and engineering codes.
- Evaluate tender documents, drawings, and specifications for feasibility, risks, and constructability.
- Develop and review construction methodologies and technical proposals to enhance bid competitiveness.
- Oversee method statements and technical submissions for regulatory compliance.
- Provide leadership in the design of roadworks, drainage, earthworks, and related civil works.
- Approve and sign off design deliverables with focus on constructability and value engineering.
- Coordinate across QS, planning, BIM, and procurement teams to align technical strategies.
- Engage subcontractors and suppliers to evaluate alternative solutions and drive design efficiencies.
- Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to assess project constraints and identify risks.
- Supervise the integration of BIM and planning tools (Civil 3D, Primavera, MS Project).
- Review and approve technical submissions, C&S shop drawings, and material selections.
- Represent the design team in meetings with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
- Ensure design compliance with Singapore codes and international best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
- 10 years experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Knowledge of Singapore's design codes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Track record in large-scale civil/infrastructure projects, ideally with LTA projects experiences.
