- Accurately read, analyze, and interpret complex site blueprints, as well as detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
- Develop comprehensive design documentation, including piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), isometric drawings, and material specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve design clashes, optimize system layouts, and ensure seamless site execution.
- Conduct thorough design reviews and feasibility studies to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafting teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
- Perform site visits and inspections to verify that actual construction aligns with approved design blueprints and engineering specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and technical bid evaluations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience specifically focused on Bulk Gas, Specialty Gas, or System Piping design and engineering.
- Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and critically evaluate site blueprints and detailed 2D/3D engineering drawings.
- Strong working knowledge of industry-standard design software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plant 3D, or similar CAD tools).
- Deep understanding of fluid dynamics, material selection, and safety codes relevant to gas and piping systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex design issues and provide innovative engineering solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
