Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage major design projects within the Design Department
- Plan, allocate and supervise work of the design team to ensure successful project delivery
- Review and approve drawings, technical documents, calculations, and manuals
- Oversee Design Control and ensure compliance with Quality Management System
- Prepare material requisition lists and job requirement documents
- Design electrical switchboards, consoles, and control panels to customer specifications and internal standards
- Coordinate and attend technical discussions with clients & consultants
- Provide technical support to Sales & Marketing assist in securing contracts
- Collaborate with Production teams on design and shop drawings
- Identify and implement work improvements to reduce cost & wastage
- Perform other duties assigned by superiors in alignment with QMS procedures
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Experienced in electrical design of switchboards, control panels, or similar systems
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and project management skills
- Additional specialised experience in any relevant area will be an advantage and may qualify for higher salary
