Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Programme Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery of software products and digital solutions, from initiation and planning through implementation, deployment, and post go-live support.
- Define and manage product scope, objectives, delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and timelines to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develop and maintain delivery roadmaps, working closely with the Project Management Team (PMT) to align priorities, resources, and schedules.
- Ensure all deliverables meet agreed scope, quality, budget, compliance, and timeline expectations.
- Monitor programme health, delivery performance, and project progress, providing regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage delivery risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, escalating where appropriate.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, the PMT, engineering, design, and operations teams.
- Facilitate clear communication of project status, risks, decisions, and delivery progress across all stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with business and technical teams to ensure alignment on priorities, expectations, and delivery objectives.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing delivery culture across cross-functional teams.
- Mentor Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters, and project teams to strengthen delivery capability and Agile maturity.
Agile Delivery & Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Champion Agile delivery methodologies and Scrum best practices across delivery teams.
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support Product Owners and engineering teams in backlog prioritisation, requirement clarification, and sprint execution.
- Remove delivery impediments and enable teams to deliver efficiently and effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery performance and team productivity.
Technical Delivery & Governance
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure technical delivery remains on track, resolving dependencies and delivery blockers.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across engineering, design, operations, and business functions.
- Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, security, and quality standards throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Oversee release planning, implementation governance, operational readiness, production deployment, and post-implementation stabilisation.
- Support operational coordination and transition activities where an Operations Manager is not assigned.
Strategic Programme Leadership
- Lead the delivery of large-scale, enterprise, or mission-critical programmes comprising multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Establish programme governance frameworks, reporting structures, delivery standards, and executive reporting.
- Manage enterprise-level risks, dependencies, resource planning, and delivery trade-offs.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple vendors, partners, and internal teams.
- Support organisational planning, resource allocation, portfolio prioritisation, and strategic delivery initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software delivery, programme management, project management, Agile delivery, or product delivery roles.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end software delivery across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Demonstrated experience as a Delivery Manager, Programme Manager, Agile Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and modern software delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing delivery roadmaps, project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
- Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities, with experience proactively managing delivery risks and issues.
- Good understanding of software governance, compliance, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance processes.
- Experience working closely with software engineering teams and sufficient technical knowledge to understand delivery dependencies and technical constraints.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe, PRINCE2, CITPM, or equivalent.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale, enterprise, or mission-critical digital transformation programmes.
- Experience managing multiple cross-functional teams, vendors, and senior stakeholder groups.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software delivery, governance, release management, and operational readiness.
- Experience working in complex multi-vendor delivery environments.
- Proficiency with Agile and project delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Miro, or equivalent collaboration platforms.
