Job Description

1. Lead database performance optimisation initiatives.
2. Troubleshoot advanced replication and clustering issues.
3. Manage high availability configurations and failover validation.
4. Conduct disaster recovery drills and data restoration validation.
5. Review backup strategies and retention policies.
6. Optimise indexing strategies and query performance.
7. Analyse database resource utilisation trends.
8. Implement encryption and data protection controls.
9. Coordinate with application teams for schema optimisation.
10. Review patch management strategies.
11. Support audit and compliance requirements.
12. Manage vendor escalations for database engine issues.
13. Mentor L2 database administrators.
14. Approve complex database changes.
15. Maintain governance documentation and architecture diagrams.
