Job Role: - Senior Database Administrator

Experience: -5+ Years
Roles & Responsibilities: -- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Create, migrate, and upgrade databases across environments.
- Perform database hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
- Configure and test database backups, restores, and replication (AOAG/DataGuard).
- Conduct DR (Disaster Recovery) switchovers and switchbacks for production systems.
- Monitor and resolve database incidents, performance issues, and service disruptions.
- Implement database changes and maintain change documentation and runbooks.
- Support audit activities and provide required evidence and responses.
- Lead and mentor the DBA team, managing escalations as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, inventory, and process updates.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Ensure systems are patched, secure, and compliant with policies.
- Provide on-call and after-hours/weekend support as required.
- Perform post-implementation reviews and continuous tuning improvements.
Skills & Requirements: -- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and Oracle database administration.
- Expertise in backup/restore, performance tuning, replication (AOAG/DataGuard), and database migration.
- Solid understanding of database security, hardening, and patch management.
- Knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL preferred).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and ensure high availability.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and leadership skills.
