About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA). This role is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle, stability, and maintenance of enterprise database platforms while partnering closely with internal teams and external technology vendors to deliver critical projects and operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end lifecycle management of enterprise database platforms, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.
- Ensure availability, performance, security, and reliability of databases within the datacenter environment.
- Provide advanced operational support, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management.
- Plan and execute database maintenance activities, backups, restores, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
- Work closely with external technology vendors, System Integrators (SIs), and service providers to deliver projects, enhancements, and platform improvements.
- Collaborate with internal IT infrastructure, application teams, and business units to support business initiatives.
- Review and validate vendor deliverables, designs, and implementations to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and best practices.
- Support audits, compliance requirements, and security initiatives related to database platforms.
Requirement
- Proven experience as a Senior Database Administrator in enterprise or datacenter environments.
- Strong expertise in managing large-scale enterprise database platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with backup/recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
- Experience working with and managing external vendors, SIs, and managed service providers.
- Solid understanding of datacenter operations, infrastructure dependencies, and change management.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience supporting production systems in a 24x7 operational environment.
