We're on the lookout for a Senior Data Engineer to join one of our dynamic client teams at a leading data center and digital service provider based in Switzerland.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing an enterprise data platform based on Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities

• Implement scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric
• Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation and orchestration pipelines
• Implement and optimize Lakehouse solutions in alignment with platform architecture
• Build and optimize Spark/PySpark data processing workloads
• Implement Data Vault and enterprise data integration patterns
• Contribute to CI/CD, source control and deployment automation
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable data solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience building enterprise-scale data platforms
• Strong SQL, PySpark and Python skills
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT solutions
• Experience with Lakehouse architecture and Delta tables
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps
• Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID authentication concepts
• Experience with Data Vault or other enterprise data modeling methodologies
• Hands-on engineer capable of working independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Pragmatic mindset with a focus on engineering quality
• Able to translate architecture into robust technical solutions
• Nice to Have:
• Data Vault 2.0 knowledge
• Experience with Power BI semantic models
• Experience integrating enterprise applications and SaaS platforms
• Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform)
• Knowledge of data governance and security principles
• MS Azure/Fabric Certification (like DP-700, DP-600)
