Job Description

Senior Data Engineer

About our Client: One of the leading management consulting firms in Asia, this client has multiple business units under the group and has been growing aggressively for the past few years. The team is expanding currently and is looking to recruit a senior data engineer to bolster their ranks.

Location: Bras Basah, Singapore

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain data pipelines to process user behavior data, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and operational stability
Support the continuous enhancement of the data platform through ongoing development and optimization initiatives
Design and manage user tagging capabilities, including tag generation, validation, and governance processes
Develop and maintain data workflows that support downstream teams such as product, analytics, operations, and algorithm functions
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to enable better use of user data for product improvements and operational initiatives
Drive improvements in pipeline scalability, maintainability, monitoring, and overall system performance

Requirements:

For programming, they are using Java and Python, so ideally you would want to have proficiency in both, otherwise, having proficiency in one and picking up the other will suffice. At least 3 years of proficiency.
Apache FLINK or any real time processing technology is a must
Event tracking understanding is highly highly advantageous!
Experience with relational databases, NoSQL databases, and analytical data systems (OLAP) is required to excel in this role as well.
Note that my client is only able to work with local currently as they have issues with Visa/EP processing.
