Job Summary
This role accelerates the organization's data-driven agenda by designing, building and maintaining scalable data architectures and pipelines that power analytics, reporting and machine learning initiatives. Data Engineer plays a pivotal role in transforming raw datasets into reliable, analytics-ready assets that drive business intelligence outcomes, including advanced dashboarding through Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, construct, test and maintain enterprise-grade data pipelines and architectures
- Design and optimize ETL or ELT workflows to ingest data from diverse internal and external sources
- Partner with data scientists, analysts and business teams to translate use cases into scalable data solutions
- Enable and optimize data models for Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting layers
- Enforce data quality, integrity and security across all processing layers and platforms
- Monitor, diagnose and resolve data ingestion and processing issues
- Implement data models, warehousing structures and performance-tuned schemas
- Automate repetitive engineering processes to uplift throughput and reliability
- Maintain documentation of data flows, transformation logic and architectural components
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or similar roles
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with languages such as Python, Scala or Java
- Practical experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka or equivalent platforms
- Experience using Power BI, including dataset preparation, data modeling and performance optimization
- Exposure to cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Azure or GCP, including services like Redshift, BigQuery, Data Factory or similar
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, star schemas and modelling patterns
- Knowledge of data governance, security and compliance practices
- Strong analytical mindset and effective communication capabilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Luigi
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI or CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
- Exposure to machine learning pipeline integration is a plus
