Our Singapore center is the 2nd largest IT setup (after Paris Head Office) for Crédit Agricole CIB's worldwide business. We work daily with international branches located in 30 markets by:

The Team
The Risks Core Systems (RCS) section in CSI handles applications responsible for risk data collection, data integration, credit risk calculation and monitoring for CA-CIB worldwide. All applications are in-house developments, giving you the opportunity to shape systems from the ground up.
The Opportunity
Join our team as a Senior Data Engineer for the bank's flagship risk data and reporting platform. You'll build and optimize data pipelines that process millions of records daily, managing terabytes of data that power critical risk calculations and regulatory reporting across CA-CIB's global operations.This platform is the backbone of our risk management infrastructure, delivering real-time insights to senior management and regulatory bodies worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop the robust data solutions on SQL Server, ensuring optimal performance through advanced query optimization, indexing strategies, and partition management
- Design and optimize large-scale ETL pipelines using Apache Spark to process high-volume data from diverse sources across the bank
- Ensure data quality and reliability across the platform through comprehensive validation frameworks and proactive monitoring
- Collaborate with analytics teams using SAP BusinessObjects and other systems to deliver regulatory reports and business intelligence
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting emerging technologies and best practices in big data engineering
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of data engineering experience, preferably in financial services or high-volume data environments
- Advanced SQL Server expertise including:
- Query optimization, execution plan analysis, and performance tuning
- Index design, maintenance, and partitioning strategies for large tables
- Deadlock analysis, resolution, and troubleshooting
- Database design, normalization, and experience managing large-scale databases (multi-TB environments)
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles: data modeling, ETL best practices, and data quality frameworks
- Java/J2EE development skills for building scalable data applications
- Good to have the proficiency with Apache Spark (DataFrames, RDDs, Spark SQL) for building and optimizing production-grade ETL pipelines that handle large-scale distributed data processing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP BusinessObjects and reporting tools
- Background in banking, risk management, or regulatory reporting
- Familiarity with data governance and quality frameworks
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
