A well-established organisation is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Platform Engineer to strengthen its enterprise security capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys implementing security technologies, collaborating across infrastructure and cloud teams, and continuously improving an organisation's cyber defence posture.
You'll play a key role in deploying and enhancing security platforms that protect critical business environments while partnering with internal technology teams and external service providers to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Lead the rollout, integration and continuous enhancement of enterprise endpoint security technologies across physical, virtual and cloud environments.
- Partner with infrastructure, cloud, networking and application teams to ensure security platforms are effectively deployed and optimised across the organisation.
- Drive platform improvements by fine-tuning security policies, strengthening endpoint visibility and improving threat detection capabilities.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies, participate in proof-of-concepts and recommend improvements to strengthen the overall security ecosystem.
- Develop operational documentation, technical procedures and best practices to support platform stability and knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with external security partners and vendors to manage platform enhancements, upgrades and operational issues.
- Support vulnerability remediation initiatives, platform health monitoring and ongoing security maintenance activities.
- Contribute to incident investigations and provide technical expertise during security events when required.
What we're looking for:
We're looking for professionals with experience in one or more of the following:
- Enterprise Endpoint Protection / Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR/XDR)
- Security Operations or Security Engineering
- Windows, Linux and hybrid cloud environments
- SIEM, SOAR or security platform integrations
- Endpoint hardening, threat detection and security monitoring
- Cloud security within AWS or hybrid infrastructure
- Scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python or Bash
- Working with third-party security providers, managed services or technology vendors
Ideal experience
- Experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity platforms within large-scale or complex environments.
- Strong understanding of endpoint security, infrastructure security and operational security best practices.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional technology teams to deliver enterprise security initiatives.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting, maintaining and optimising security platforms.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and enterprise security operations.
- Industry certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, GIAC or vendor-specific certifications are advantageous.
