Job Description
- Conduct credit screening, due diligence, and financial analysis on new and existing SME clients, including review of financial statements and external credit data.
- Prepare and present comprehensive credit proposals and risk assessments, recommending appropriate credit limits, structures, and terms.
- Assess and manage credit insurance limits and internal exposures in line with approved risk appetite and credit policies.
- Monitor post-lending performance, including payment behaviour, covenant compliance, and early warning indicators.
- Partner closely with relationship management, risk, and operations teams to support prudent portfolio growth.
- Contribute to the enhancement of credit processes, reporting standards, and audit readiness across the credit function.
The Successful Applicant
- At least 8 years experience in SME credit underwriting within a bank or regulated financial institution.
- Strong understanding of trade finance, receivables finance, or working capital lending.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on credit assessments while collaborating across front-office and risk stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills, with sound commercial and risk judgment.
