Role Summary

The Senior Credit Administration Officer plays a key role in the end-to-end administration and execution of lending and credit investment transactions.

The role is responsible for overseeing transaction execution, reviewing work performed by Junior team members, ensuring alignment with approved credit terms and transaction documentation, and managing day-to-day loan servicing and collateral monitoring.

The Senior will work closely with Credit Solutions, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Treasury and external counterparties, and will serve as a key escalation point for operational issues and transaction exceptions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transaction Execution & Documentation

  • Own the operational execution of lending and credit investment transactions from approval through closing and funding.
  • Review transaction documentation, including facility agreements, security documents, guarantees, pledges and other related documents from an operational perspective.
  • Oversee CP tracking and review supporting documents to ensure funding conditions are satisfied prior to drawdown.
  • Review loan drawdown and settlement instructions to ensure consistency with approved terms and executed documentation.
  • Perform maker-checker review of transaction processing and loan system booking.
  • Review key loan static data, including principal, interest rate, tenor, fees, repayment terms and collateral details.
  • Coordinate with Legal, external counsel and other stakeholders to resolve documentation, closing and execution issues.

2. Loan Servicing & Portfolio Administration

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the loan book, including rollovers, repayments, prepayments, extensions, rate fixings, interest and fee processing.
  • Review interest, principal and fee calculations and related notices.
  • Monitor loan maturities, payment obligations and other key contractual deadlines.
  • Review reconciliations between loan records and Finance / Treasury records and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of loan and transaction records.

3. Collateral & Credit Monitoring

  • Oversee collateral monitoring, including periodic valuation, LTV / coverage calculations and collateral movements.
  • Review margin call calculations and notices and ensure required actions are taken within applicable timelines.
  • Monitor margin call cure periods, covenant requirements and other contractual obligations.
  • Track collateral and other relevant documentation and escalate potential breaches or exceptions.
  • Support Risk and Legal in the management of material breaches, defaults and other credit events.

4. Review & Team Oversight

  • Review work performed by Junior Credit Administration team members, including transaction checklists, CP tracking, calculations, loan booking and servicing activities.
  • Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with approved credit terms, transaction documentation and internal controls.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to Junior team members on transaction processing and credit administration matters.
  • Act as the first escalation point for operational issues, discrepancies and exceptions.
  • Ensure key transaction and servicing deadlines are properly monitored and followed up.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in credit administration, loan operations, middle office, banking, private credit, securities, family office or asset management.
  • Solid experience in lending operations and loan lifecycle management.
  • Experience with collateralised lending, securities-backed / Lombard lending, margin financing, corporate lending or similar credit products is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of loan documentation, collateral mechanics, LTV / coverage ratios, margin calls, interest calculations and day-count conventions.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership and control awareness.
  • Able to independently manage multiple transactions and deadlines, review work performed by Junior team members, and identify and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
