We are seeking a Senior/ Cost Manager to join our team as client-side commercial and QS consultant for a design and build (turnkey) project. You will be responsible for delivering full QS services across the project lifecycle, from pre-contract tendering through to post-contract cost control and final account closure.
What you'll be doing
- Provide QS services including contract administration, procurement and claim management to all contractors
- Monitor and control project cash flow to ensure effective cost management throughout the project
- During the pre-contract stage, evaluate potential bidders and extend tender invitations, draft RFQs, and prepare and issue tender packages and contracts for all works
- Handle and supervise the full tender process, including tender briefings, clarifications, interviews, evaluation and assessment, through to tender award
- During the post-contract stage, supervise and monitor contractor claims, including issuing and certifying project and contractor claims
- Manage post-contract cost control, including preparing variation orders for contractors and preparing, reviewing and issuing final accounts
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Solid experience in QS and cost management, ideally with exposure to design and build (turnkey) projects
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement and claim management processes
- Experience in infrastructure projects is a plus; candidates with relevant experience in other sectors such as Data Centers will also be considered, provided the core QS principles and skill sets are transferable
