Senior/Corporate Counsel

About the Role

We are looking for a lawyer to join our Legal team. You will play a key role in supporting our operations on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters, working closely with the business units within the Group spanning editorial, commercial and corporate functions. Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders across editorial, sales, production and corporate functions
• Draft, review, and negotiate on a diverse range of agreements and transactions
• Advise on transactions for the production, procurement, distribution and delivery functions of the business
• Advise on intellectual property rights and related issues in the digital media and other platforms
• Support corporate and strategic initiatives, including new product launches and digital transformation projects
• Corporate secretarial duties for the companies in the Group

Qualifications & Competencies

• Qualified lawyer in Singapore with LLB and at least 5 years of post-qualification experience
• Corporate and commercial work experience, with exposure in technology and data privacy law
• Ability to provide clear, practical advice in a fast-moving environment
• Highly-analytical with keen attention to detail
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
• A team player who is able to work independently and with cross-functional teams
• A strong interest in technology, data and digital economy
• Competence in the Chinese language will be an asset for advice on Chinese documents
