Job Description

Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes according to established recipes, standards, and food safety regulations

Supervise and guide junior cooks and kitchen assistants during daily operations

Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portion size, and presentation

Assist in menu planning and development in coordination with the Head Chef / Kitchen Manager

Monitor food preparation processes to ensure timely service during peak hours

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas in compliance with SFA and workplace safety standards

Check freshness and quality of ingredients and report any issues to management

Manage stock levels, assist with inventory control, and minimize food wastage

Ensure proper storage of food items following FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles

Handle kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance issues promptly

Support training of new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and hygiene practices

Comply with company policies, health regulations, and workplace safety requirements
