Job Overview
We are looking for proactive and detail-oriented Senior Contract Executive to support the commercial and contractual management of construction projects in Singapore, Malaysia, and other international locations. In this role, you will be involved throughout the entire project life cycle, from tender submissions and contract negotiation to project execution and contract administration.
The ideal candidate is self-driven and capable of working independently, able to take ownership of assigned responsibilities while maintaining strong coordination with project teams. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop expertise and leadership in contract administration, commercial strategy, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration and management of contracts throughout the full project lifecycle, from tender stage to project completion.
- Review tender documents and assist in the preparation of tender submissions, including costing, bill of quantities, and scope of work.
- Review, interpret, and assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, variations, and commercial performance to ensure alignment with contractual entitlements.
- Independently track contractual obligations, variations, and potential commercial risks across ongoing projects.
- Lead the preparation and negotiation of variation orders (VO), progress claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- Maintain a structured variation and claims tracking system to ensure proper documentation and timely submission.
- Evaluate completed works and review progress claims based on contract provisions.
- Assist in the preparation and administration of subcontract agreements and monitor subcontractor payments and variations.
- Attend project and site meetings and provide contractual and commercial input where required.
- Identify contractual risks and support dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of contracts, claims, approvals, and correspondence.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, clients, and subcontractors to ensure effective contract implementation.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Project Management or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in contract administration or commercial roles within the construction industry
- Strong working knowledge of construction contracts, contract administration and legal documentation
- Proven experience handling variations, claims, EOTs and contractual matters
- Ability to understand and interpret architectural drawings, project specifications and tender documentation
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines
- Experience working on regional or international projects will be an advantage
