Senior Consultant (Java/J2EE, Microservices, Cloud)

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications using Java/J2EE frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA).
• Architect and implement scalable microservices and RESTful APIs, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance.
• Partner with business stakeholders and solution architects to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Provide consulting expertise on application modernization, migration to cloud, and DevOps enablement.
• Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and design validations to ensure adherence to industry best practices.
• Oversee integration with databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), messaging systems (Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ), and third-party APIs.
• Drive CI/CD pipeline implementation with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, provide RCA, and implement long-term fixes.
• Mentor junior developers, set coding standards, and establish governance across project teams.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional experience in Java/J2EE software development and consulting.
• Strong command of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security), Hibernate/JPA, and related technologies.
• Proven experience in microservices architecture, API design, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Solid understanding of DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory).
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Strong problem-solving, consulting, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns, message queues, and security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS).
• Exposure to Agile delivery models and ability to guide teams in fast-paced consulting projects.
