Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and manage daily construction activities in alignment with project timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and construction methods to identify potential design or site issues.
- Lead and supervise site teams to ensure smooth operations, safety compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor progress and resolve technical or operational issues.
- Ensure proper documentation of site records, progress reports, and material usage.
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure resource optimization.
- Review and approve subcontractor claims, variations, and progress payments.
- Assist in procurement planning and evaluation of tenders or quotations.
- Enforce workplace safety, health, and environmental standards according to statutory and company requirements.
- Implement quality control measures and ensure compliance with relevant authorities.
- Prepare for and attend audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
- Serve as the main point of contact between clients, consultants, and project teams.
- Provide regular project updates and progress reports to management and clients.
- Manage expectations and resolve disputes or technical queries effectively.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Building, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in building, data centre, or special facilities construction, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with international safety standards for hazardous environments are required, as the position entails overseeing highrisk construction operations in multiple Southeast Asian countries.
- Proficiency in Chinese is required to effectively communicate with Chinesespeaking stakeholders and counterparts in China.
