About the Role
Our client is developing an AI-powered robotics platform for retail and warehouse applications, combining AMR and drone systems to automate inventory and shelf-scanning tasks.
We are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to develop and optimise vision solutions for real-world robotic applications, including product recognition, object detection, image processing, and edge AI deployment.
Candidates with backgrounds in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Robotics Vision, Edge AI, or Image Processing are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise computer vision solutions for product recognition, object detection, barcode/QR recognition, and SKU counting.
- Build and deploy deep learning models for real-world vision applications.
- Integrate and optimise industrial cameras, RGB-D cameras, and other vision sensors.
- Perform camera calibration, image processing, and visual data optimisation.
- Deploy and optimise AI models on edge computing platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson.
- Integrate vision algorithms into ROS/ROS2-based robotic systems.
- Conduct testing in real-world warehouse environments and continuously improve model accuracy, robustness, and performance.
Requirements
- Experience in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Robotics Vision, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
- Familiarity with OpenCV and fundamental image processing techniques.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience in one or more areas such as object detection, image classification, segmentation, tracking, or visual recognition.
- Good understanding of computer vision algorithms and practical model development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TensorRT, ONNX, CUDA, OpenVINO, or NVIDIA Jetson.
- Experience with ROS/ROS2 and robotics systems.
- Experience with camera calibration, RGB-D cameras, or multi-camera systems.
- Experience with barcode/QR recognition or product/SKU detection.
- Experience in robotics, warehouse automation, retail technology, logistics, or industrial vision.
- Familiarity with tools or libraries such as ZBar, ZXing, or HALCON.
What We're Looking For
We are open to candidates from a broad range of backgrounds, including Computer Vision, AI/ML, Robotics, Edge AI, Industrial Vision, Autonomous Systems, and Image Processing.
Direct experience with AMR or warehouse robotics is not mandatory if you have strong practical experience in computer vision and AI model development.
