Our client is a leading global technology organisation seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Counsel to join its legal team on a 6‑month contract basis. This role partners closely with senior commercial stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to provide practical, solutions‑driven legal support in a fast‑paced, international environment. There is potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities of this Senior Commercial Counsel (Contract):
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of international commercial agreements, including B2B, supply, distribution, strategic partnerships and marketing arrangements.
- Act as a trusted legal adviser to key business teams, supporting end‑to‑end commercial transactions and ongoing partner relationships.
- Lead legal support for supply‑side and property‑related matters, including contract lifecycle management and dispute resolution.
- Provide clear, commercially pragmatic advice on legal and risk issues to enable business objectives.
- Support dispute management and litigation strategy with a commercial and solutions‑oriented approach.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across legal, commercial, finance, tax and operations teams globally.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of contract templates, policies, processes and legal operations.
- Mentor and guide junior team members where required.
Requirements for this Senior Commercial Counsel (Contract):
- Qualified lawyer with strong post‑qualification experience in commercial contracting, gained in private practice and/or in‑house.
- Proven experience advising on B2B relationships, supply agreements and complex commercial arrangements.
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast‑moving, technology‑driven business.
- Strong stakeholder‑management, communication and negotiation skills.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable working across geographies and cultures.
- Experience in technology, travel, digital platforms or consumer‑facing businesses is advantageous.
