Working closely with Commercial, Finance and Operations teams, you will turn data into meaningful insights that strengthen competitiveness, optimise performance and create lasting business impact.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive the regional performance tracking framework across Ports & Terminals in APAC, analysing key commercial performance metrics and delivering actionable insights on revenue, volume and margins by shipping line to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the semi-annual review of regional and competitor tariff benchmarks in partnership with Regional and Cluster teams, leveraging data-driven insights to recommend tariff adjustments, strengthen competitiveness, optimise revenue and maximise profitability.
  • Analyse market dynamics, customer behaviour, liner performance and network developments, delivering commercial insights and recommendations that support competitive positioning and pricing strategies.
  • Partner with Cluster teams to analyse and validate budget assumptions, providing commercial insights that strengthen planning, forecasting and business decision-making.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives by conducting commercial analyses and delivering recommendations that support key business priorities.
  • Maintain a robust contract register and tariff repository across the APAC portfolio, ensuring effective governance and visibility of contract expiries, renewals and tariff management.
  • Serve as the commercial data steward, partnering with the Data & Business Intelligence team to ensure commercial datasets, data models and reporting frameworks continue to meet evolving business needs.
  • Deliver timely weekly, monthly and quarterly commercial reporting by collaborating with Group, Regional, Cluster and Business Unit stakeholders, while supporting ad hoc commercial analyses and strategic projects.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Statistics or a related field.
  • Proven experience in commercial strategy, business analytics and/or client management within the ports operations and/or shipping industry.
  • Strong understanding of the ports and liner business, including commercial, operational, financial, legal and network dynamics (preferred).
  • Experience conducting industry and market research using commercial databases and online resources.
  • Strong analytical capability with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights and influence stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10-15% across the region as required.
