We are partnered with an established financial services institution to look for a Senior Cloud Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments within a hybrid infrastructure landscape
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources
- Develop automation scripts using Bash and Python to support infrastructure deployment and operational processes
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Jenkins to enable reliable and secure deployments
- Support hybrid environments by integrating cloud platforms with existing enterprise infrastructure and internal platforms
- Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot incidents, and optimize platforms for reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
- Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and access controls
- Establish and maintain governance practices such as resource standards, cost management, and compliance controls
- Collaborate with development, platform, and security teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with operational and regulatory requirements
- Support production workloads running on cloud infrastructure and contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives
- Provide guidance and knowledge sharing within the engineering team
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
- Strong experience working with AWS and Azure cloud environments
- Deep hands-on experience with Terraform including module development, state management, and workspaces
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts such as VPC or VNet design, DNS, IAM, and security architecture
- Experience supporting production workloads in enterprise or large-scale environments
- Strong Linux administration skills and scripting experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Bitbucket
- Understanding of hybrid infrastructure environments and connectivity models such as Direct Connect or private connectivity between on-premise and cloud systems
