Senior Cloud Engineer / Consultant

Responsibilities

Software Application Development

. Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and backend services.

. Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.

. Translate business and technical requirements into effective software solutions.

. Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with internal and external systems.

. Perform code reviews and follow software development best practices.

. Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.

Cloud Application Development

. Develop and deploy applications on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.

. Work with cloud services such as:

. AWS: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, SQS/SNS.

. Azure: App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, API Management, Azure Monitor, Key Vault.

. Design applications to take advantage of cloud scalability, availability, resiliency, and security.

. Implement cloud-native and/or containerized application architectures.

. Configure and manage application environments across development, testing, staging, and production.

DevOps and CI/CD

. Work with DevOps teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

. Automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.

. Use tools such as Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.

. Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Bicep/ARM templates.

. Monitor application deployments and resolve deployment-related issues.

Collaboration and Documentation

. Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and other stakeholders.

. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and software development activities.

. Prepare technical documentation, API documentation, deployment guides, and system design documentation.

. Contribute to technical standards, coding guidelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

. 3-4 years of experience in software application development.

. Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as:

. Java

. C#

. Python

. JavaScript/TypeScript

. Go

. Experience developing REST APIs, web applications, backend services, or microservices.

. Practical experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.

. Good understanding of cloud computing concepts, including:

. Compute

. Storage

. Networking

. Databases

. IAM/security

. Monitoring and logging

. Scalability and high availability

. Experience with Git and modern software development practices.

. Knowledge of CI/CD and automated software deployment.

. Good understanding of software development lifecycle and testing practices.
